Tattoo

Hi,have had a tattoo from one shop in Bali and as i have no other experiences to compare with i was was wanting to know if others who have had tatts in Aus, and Bali, found the balanese tattooists to be far more painfull?Maybe it was the particular person who carried out my tattoo but friends have told me they should not be as painfull as i described?
