many other airlines, has decided that the overall number of bookings on a daily basis is not really worth the cost of using 4 planes per day every day so they have cut back to 3 flights per day for a while,I am sure that if you look at their schedule you will find they are back up to 4 flights per day on this route later in the year.
Yes it will be disapointing to not get the seats you booked on the original flight but you dont really expect them to take those seats of someone else who has paid for them on the new flight (new for you anyway) do you? they might have even booked earlier than you did.

Personally I think this is a resposible thing to do or would you prefer them to keep up with un profitable flights and go bankrupt with the likes of Air Australia, and if you think that the likes of Jetstar dont do exactly the same thing you are living in a dream world.
No-one likes to have their plans changed but I dont think a delay of 3 and a half hours will ruin a holiday and personally i wouldnt dream of flying at 1.30 am when their are/were another 3 flights on the same day, even 5 am means you are not sleeping at all that night unless you are one of the lucky one who can sleep on an airplane.
