We got the $99 from ebay and, whilst $99 is a bargain for a week in Bali, the Shangri-la wasn't my favourite place to stay. The room we got was a good size but the furniture seemed to have all come from the local St Vinnies. Shampoo and soap was only provided once, not replaced on a daily basis. Water had to be purchased (but you could hire a nifty little stand to put the large bottle on to make filling your jug or water bottle a little easier). The "restaurant" was extremely ordinary, with the food under-seasoned and over-priced. The pool was mostly tepid (we were there in May) and not at all refreshing. Would never stay there again. Cannot comment about Bali Palms as we haven't been there.
