We were insured with 1cover. Their comprehensive travel insurance includes Loss of Income benefit which is payable if you become disabled within 30 days of an injury you sustained during your journey, and you are still unable to work more than 30 days after returning to Australia. We have to find out exactly what "disabled" means to the insurance company however, hubby has follow up appoinment with orthopedic surgeon next week so once we have his opinion and he has filled out the appropriate insurance paperwork for us we'll go from there. Be interesting to see what happens.
