They got bored and ran around playing with the puppy that lives there. My 7 year old enjoyed it more and did participate, but it was a long time and he then just waited for eating!
In my opinion, with the ages of your children I think you will probably be fine. You are all taking turns anyway so its not like you would be helping them and not doing your own.
Email Irma and ask about the cost for including the children. With the class usually being Rp450,000 per person it would certainly add up.
You also need to keep in mind transport cost if you are not staying in the Sanur area as outside the area is not included in the class cost.
That all being said - we had a fantastic half day and the kids both still talk about it! In fact, we have the book out and are attempting to make one of the dishes for dinner tonight :)
