that funds are sent on to pay for the airtravel and accommodation. Granted that happens0 1however Cant see how that can happen so soon if someone has booked and payed say on Monday,Tuesday,Wednesday or even Thursday and then on the Friday morning Air Australia has collasped. Most funds are not meant to be released until cleared either by chq or credit card. You wouldnt been sending funds over on a daily basis to the airline or accommodation places. Which means those funds that were payed that week should have still been with the travel agent. Hence then there should be no problem with a charge back. If this is the case then why should someone have to claim insurance when a charge back would suffice or even leaving the funds there and transferring those funds to buy a ticket with another carrier. There should also have been a duty of disclosuer that air australia had no insurance at the time of bookings. Air Australia didnt just collaspe overnight. I run a company and I am aware of the funds. The writing was on the wall when the previous partner pulled out. Not a happy customer along with plenty of others.
