We are travelling to Bali soon. My husband has held an Australian open motorbike licence for 20+ years and wants to hire a bike. Our travel agent who is also our friend (also travelling to Bali with us) told us that we need to take out the extra cover for motorbike with covermore (which we have done) BUT he also need to get a valid Indonesian motorbike licence (not just the one on the street) to be covered. She has looked into this extensively for many clients and this is one way the insurance company can try to blindside you.
