The person that I spoke to said as long as I have a licence valid in the country of travel then I would be covered. They said in some countries you are not required to have a motorcycle licence so in that case as long as you tick the extra cover for motorcycle in that instance you would be covered as there is no requirement to have a licence (not quite sure what country that is though?!) but what I am getting at is they definitely said valid licence in country of travel - so in this case I'm assuming either Australian International Licence or 30 day Indonesian licence.
At first they tried to tell me that if I satisfied the "rental company's conditions" and could rent a bike then I must have the right licence - I told them that it was very easy to rent a bike in Bali (they obviously haven't been before) and that I didn't think that advice would hold up if I was in an accident!!! funnily enough they wouldn't put that advice in writing - only verbally over the phone hmm..
