Our 15 year old son contracted reactive arthritis in Bali late 2010, it is very frightening when you have no idea of the outcome of this disease. Thank god it was not in his genes as tests proved, so it was a once off thing. But it is another matter if it is in your genes , all you need is a very bad bug or chlymidia to set it off. After a month he had fully recovered but was an invalid for 4 to 5 weeks. I feel for this man who obviousaly has it in his genes that he was unaware that it was lurking in his system waiting for a very bad infection to rear it's ugly head!
2011 my son came home with cellulitis , that's another story.
