I presume that you will be arriving at the Kuala Lumpur Low Cost International Airport (KLIA). Australian passport holders receive a free 90 day visa at the KLIA and there is no departure tax to be paid by passengers when you fly from the KLIA.

There is no transit lounge at KLIA, so you have to go through Malaysian Immigration as you arrive and leave the KLIA.
