That's a sales pitch that the salesman pitch if you say you can't afford it. Pay half and only go every 2 years. Gets you the bonus weeks though which is a BIG thing (if you use them of course).
Which place did she stay at? You need to do your research. All timeshares are not equal.
I like Risata because it's a Gold Resort and a red week (high demand) so I get whatever I want when I trade.
Friend of mine traded for one week at Peninsula resort and also one week at the Novatel at Nusa Dua. VERY fancy. Not my cup of tea being stuck out there but she said it's the most luxurious place she's ever stayed at.
