Extra baggage allowance on Virgin?

Is it possible to pre-purchase extra baggage allowance when travelling on Virgin?

I am doing my first ever solo trip to Bali in a few months time, and I have a list of purchases to make for someone else who isn't able to come. When combined with my own inevitably large pile of purchases, I highly doubt I'll be able to fit it all in one suitcase!

Is it just a matter of paying the ludicrous $15/kg excess baggage at the airport, or is there a cheaper/easier alternative?
