We were offered a deal by a property but decided to check with a travel agent just to see what they could offer (plus I prefer the security they provide).
We are heading back to Bali in May and have saved about $80 per day on our 3 rooms. Will definately cover our food bill each day.
You could still turn up at any property and not have a room but at least you can contact the TA to fix it or at least find alternative accom.
