I have a child who can't be stopped from kicking (she has a severe intellectual disability) so I book two rows of two and put her in the back row so two of our family members can endure her kicking and not a stranger.
There are ways to manage these things. A normal kid is pretty easy to stop I find, but then I'm not afraid of applying the "vulcan face pinch" (don't ask!)
