We have a personal banker here with CBA and she wrote the letter introducing us which was probably more than just a standard letter of introduction, then she contacted the branch personally and made a connection for us, getting them to allocate a relationship manager to us. All this made it very easy but I don't know if this is still the case. A reasonable size deposit probably doesn't hurt either.
