I opened my account here with the Commonwealth about 6 years ago. All I needed was a letter from my CBA bank in Oz. They just typed up a letter stating the accounts I had & how long I had them for. That's all I needed & of course my passport. No problem. I did it all through CBA branch in Tuban (it's not there now) & to organise internet banking on the account I had to go to CBA in Jl Teuku Umar, Denpasar. That took about an hour while I waited. Had no problems. But that was a while ago so maybe things have changed. Now I use the branch on the corner of Jl Melasti & Jl Legian and they are very helpful & friendly there. I know at the time no other bank would give me an account without a kitas....I went to a few & asked.
