As for the rape victim agree.A female adulterer is in a similar position. However I feel that the main issue is that males and females are treated unequally by local law - this is the real issue.
When my son was 16 he was riding in a car with 2 17 year olds. Police pulled them over and found a small amount of hash in the glove compartment. Asked whose it was my son volunteered. It wasn't actually his but he knew that at 16 he would get a warning whereas the actual owner being a year older would get a fine and a record which could lead to imprisonment for a further offence. Where is the logic in this? Just for the matter of a few weeks the law stands on its head. I believe that (had he been guilty) my son should have had the same punishment as would apply to the others. I believe that letting off the 14yo would have sent the message that you can get away with a criminal act if you know the law.
