you may have booked a standard room when you made your booking, and that could be why you got the standard room.
people need to tell their travel agents that they want the superior room, or deluxe room (whatever they call them) and not the 'lead in' room category. of course, the higher categories are more expensive, but you get what you pay for.
and remember that check in time is at 2pm in most hotels, so if you are booking in early on, say, the 3rd, you will need to reserve your room for the night of the 2nd.
