It amazes me that people believe the lawas of their own country or the beliefs they have are the only ones. Who says that Australian laws are right wrong or otherwise.
At the end of the day a country has it's laws based on it's beliefs from culture, religion and whatever else. Vistiors to a country need to respect and obey those laws whilst in that country.
The bottom line is if you don't like it don't go. I'm an Aussie but personally believe our laws set in place by the do gooders of society are probably to blame for the serious issues we are having in Australia with crime. I have the utmost respect for other countries laws when travelling OS and actually make sure I am aware of the laws and customs expected in different countries.
One would have to be naiive to think crime can be totally stamped out but harsher punishement for crime I think would help to reduce it
Only my thoughts and expect most others will differ from mine. Great subject to start an interesting debate
