Thanks for your comments. They're all relevant & well received.
Interesting to hear you single out Pearl. Our flight was recently cancelled for our upcoming trip so we have chosen to travel a day earlier. As a result, we had a hotel to choose for that extra night. We have chosen the Pearl Hotel & booked the restaurant for that evening!! Great that your comments are positive.
I did call in at the Anantara for a drink after viewing the Royal Beach in Aug. (SOS bar did not open til 5pm, I think, so we sat at the bar downstairs overlooking the ocean & pool). Looking forward to the SOS bar though. It should suit our party well for pre-dinner drinks.
Thanks for the heads up regarding room position. I will seek out a 2nd floor room.
I will be surprised if you are disappointed at your choice of the Pullman Nirwana. Certainly more positives than negatives when I stayed there.
I do think the Ocean view rooms are worth the extra. I had booked this but initially when the ocean view room I had booked was not avail, they offered me an internal suite ie. deluxe bedroom, ensuite & living area (with internal view of hotel only). To be honest, although spacious, I could have been in my lounge room at home. The ocean view room was what I had booked & what I really wanted. I was fortunate to finally be offered the ocean view suite which was superb. The balcony is quite deep with a panoramic view up & down the coast.
As an Accor Advantage Plus member, I was also fortunate to book on the back of a 50% off Accor sale. I booked via the Accor website. I also liased with the hotel prior to our arrival.

We did not have breakfast included in our room rate & actually never ended up having breakfast at the Pullman, though could have dined 2 for 1 with my Accor card. We chose instead to venture down to the Kudeta & other places. Pullman looked busy at breakfast, though an extensive smorgasboard.
Try looking on wotif.com if you are not an Accor member, I did see their prices were quite reasonable on there at one stage. Also read here on the forum that they were one of the 'Mystery hotels' & a good price at that time.
Good luck & any other queries, I am happy to try to help.
Happy holidays!
