We had an issue on our last trip in Sept and I meant to write a JBR about the service at BIMC.
Hubby had chest pains and so we headed straight to BIMC by 8.00am one morning and he was taken straight to emergency and surrounded with doctors and nurses.
He ended up in intensive care for 18 hours, to have cardiac enzyme tests (which all ended up negative- thankfully), followed up with outpatient service for injections and to also to see the cardiologist.
I have to say that our experience was absolutely fantastic and I can't praise the staff there mor highly.
Each doctor went to great lengths to explain what was going on and took the time to make sure we both knew as much as we could in a stressful time.
The head nurse was an expat Aussie and she checked that all was ok regularly during her shift.
Our unexpected encounter with a hospital in Bali for the first time well above our expectations and if anyone has experienced Australian public health system, I am afraid that I would rather be at BIMC than at Royal Perth any day.
Our insurers - TID were also fantastic and I had to contact Allianz a few times and they were efficient and really excellent and the hospital sent all reports straight to them for their records.
As we had insurance, we only had to pay $100 excess and at no time did I feel any pressure that the staff were more interested in money than patient care.
I would recommend BIMC and return there again if any future health issues, as we encountered a lot of staff in the 18 hours and i am grateful that they were able to help us!
