Tbh I am quite surprised at how insistent she is about this, as she is fairly lax with most other areas of her religion. But... I think it may be down to family etc... Not letting them down. Putting on a whole bravado that we will be a decent muslim family. Hope they don't want to inspect it whether it's cut or not.
Looks like our official engagement is on hold then till the new year - ah well, least I can have my pigs in blankets with me Christmas dinner without feeling guilty for one last time.
