Unsure if you are any more vulnerable to additonal illness but probably wont feel to flash. The Balinese I know dont seem to drink as much water as westerners do and this may slow recovery but who knows.
Deffinately glad dont have it now. Never know when am going to get it again, thats part of the "fun" living in the tropics. I did buy a petrol powered fogger and have the compound fogged weekly (helped wonders with fungus and pests in the gardens too).
