It was diagnosed correctly first time with tests at Kasih Ibu in Jimbaran. They wanted to admit me to hospital immediately but as my husband was in Lombok also sick at the time and I had my small son with me I resisted being admitted. I had to return daily to check my platelets and after another 2 days I think it was I agreed to be admitted as it looked like all the small veins in my legs were bursting and from what I had read online I was quite scared. But they do not actually treat it only give you IV fluids and pain killers etc and monitor your condition. I insisted on being discharged as soon as my platelet count started to improve as I could not afford the hospital bills. I still returned for daily tests until they were back to normal. It took me a good few weeks to get my energy back and start to feel normal again. From what I understand it is more often fatal the second time around(not saying it would be but from what i read it seemed most people who died from it, it was not their first time) so I do worry about catching it again.
