Its best to fly to Lombok 20 min flight from Bali cost about $30, several flights a day, best to get your hotel in Bali to book your flights when you get there. A fast boat from Lombok to Gilli T is the best as it can get rough, Sengiggi beach hotel will book this for you.

Lombok is like Bali was 20 years ago, but with good reaturants and safe food hygine. Its a slow pace, lots of horse and cart transport, palm trees to the sea, not shops everywhere like Bali but there are some fab shops and amazing craft markets.
