This year I have travelled to Europe and USA using the Comm Bank prepaid mastercard. Is is good if you want to lock in an exchange rate. I purchsaed mine earlier in the year and the rate went up. I'm heading to Bali next week but wont use it. You need to have the currency of the counrty loaded in it, you can't get indonesian currency put on it. I suggest the 28 degrees mastercard, deposit you AUD in it and use it as a credit card and ATM card. The best thing is they give a good exchange rate and NO currency conversion fee, every other CC will charge this. If the ATM you withdraw from is affiliated with westpac ie Barclays London you don't pay an ATM fee otherwise it's normal ATM withdrawal fees. Hope this helps.
