I usually stay on the Legian/Seminyak border for a while to do things down that end & then head to Kuta (apart from a sojourn in the peace & sanity of hills) because getting from Seminyak to Kuta, & vice versa, is SUCH a pain - & a very long walk.
Hard to believe but traffic can only get worse than it already is with all the huge hotels being built along the beach.
