what the pool(s) are like at Holiday Inn? Is the water cool or on the warmer side? (I assume you stayed at Holiday Inn Baruna). Thinking about staying there for the last 3 nights of our next trip.
Having just spent the past few weeks searching high & low for family accommodation in Legian, with pretty much the same requirements that you seem to have, I think your best bet may be a 2BR privately owned apartment at the Jayakarta (although depending on the time of year you're going, it may be over budget). Another option could be Royal Tunjung Bali (but check prices through Agoda as the quote I got direct from the hotel was more expensive than Agoda). Quoted on Agoda US$193 for a 3 bedroom villa in high season (Xmas/New Year).
I am pretty fussy with accommodation, as having a young child we spend a lot of time at the hotel & I must admit I found it difficult finding much under $200 that I would be happy with close to the beach
