Dropped 3 cents this morning to 99c USD. It will probably drop down to close to GFC levels and then take a few months to recover back up to close to parity.
2 weeks ago I was getting 9100 rp to the AUD, now it's around 8500. So it is likely to go down into the 7000's somewhere, maybe lower, over the next month
OP, while it is expensive to buy here, you might hedge your bets by getting some Rupiah now, and some later once on holiday.
