re the smokers. I have been married to a smoker for 20+ years and then he became a non smoker. So while the smoking doesnt bother me, (because I tolerated it for so long) I am amazed at how intolerant reformed smokers are. Just an observation thats all. In regard to Europe and smoking. I spent a month in France earlier this year and there were lots of smokers around. The one thing that did disturb me (and it wasnt the smokers) was that dogs were in the restaurants. Many times I have had a meal in a restaurant with a dog sitted in the chair next to me. No it wasnt my dog either. Apparantly people can take their pets into restaurants and have them eat with them. I had a meal next to a bulldog (the bulldog was eating steak)
