My daughter and myself did 3 different classes while we were away. We had a ball at all of them.

Cafe Wayan Cooking Class
This was very well run and hands on. They picked us up from Green Fields and took us to the place where the class was held. There was 7 people all up. It starts with a welcome drink then a tour of their garden to show how they grow the ingredients. Have never seen purple spinach before! It is held in an open kitchen type area. Heaps of room. The participants do the chopping and slicing etc and the chef does the cooking. It takes 2 hours and we did 5 dishes. At the end you get to eat what has been cooked. They also give you a gift plus the recipes. Cost was 350,000rp each and well worth it. Dropped back to the Hotel after.

Jewellery Making at Studio Perak
This was fun as well but I have realised that I won't be opening a jewellery store any time soon. My daughter made 2 pendants - which turned out really good - and I made 1 pendant which I don't think I will be wearing. You start with a piece of flat silver then cut, file, shape, sand and polish until finished. You can take your own design or copy something from the shop. It is very hands on and good fun. Lots of laughs. The cost was 350,000rp each. Oh just a tip. Don't have a manicure before you go.

Offering making at Green Field
I never realised how hard these would be to make or how many there are. The ladies cut the bamboo and coconut leaves for you then it is sort of like sewing with a piece of bamboo. Lots of sticking fingers! We were all laughing so much at times we had to stop. We made about 10 or more different types all decorated with flowers (in just the right order and position) then we took them to the temple. The 2 women who taught us asked us if we wanted to pray. We declined and waited while they prayed. It all took about 1 1/2 hours and cost 100,000rp each. The two ladies were so sweet and patient.
