We have stayed at the Bali Dynasty countless times and our kids just love it.....however, the rooms are just so overpriced now that we are trying the HR for the 1st time in a few weeks.
Our friends stayed at the HR and we visited them a few times whilst they were there. Our kids just loved the pool area. The cost of food and drinks around the pool was about the same as the Dynasty. The rooms at the Dynasty are nicer than the HR but I am saving around $100 per night.
