Thanks so much for all the info. After a day on the phone with a 'recommended' travel agent, I'm now totally confused about where to stay and what I should be paying. I got a quote of 4600 (Au) for 11 nights at the Bali Gardens, and flying economy with virgin.
Looking through all the posts on here, it seems I can do much better by booking myself.
All the shopping suggestions are great and I appreciate the advice on money, phones etc. It looks like tomorrows day off will be spent trawling the internet !!
