Hi, we've not stayed at the Jaya, but we stayed in an Ambas suite at the KP with our children (aged 5 and 2 at the time) the year before last and loved it.
The Ambas suite was HUGE (we certainly didn't use all the space) but excellent, and the KP fulfilled all of our requirements which sound similar to yours.
We had such a great time we've booked the same room for our trip back there this December.
If they still allow a third person in the Jnr Suites, that would reduce your costs and might be suitable, as it is two rooms while the Ambas Suite is three.
