I have take a cashpassport card with my emergency money and I loaded it with Australian dollars, I did it at my credit union. I had no trouble using it at 2 different ATMs, but the only thing I found was it cost $3.75 per transaction, which is not really a lot, as long as you dont use it each day. Also take cash and used both room safe and box at security and no trouble with either, I'm no expert but after 8 trips we have never had anything stolen from our rooms, I think the staff value their jobs more than a quick lift of tourists money, just my opion.
Have a great time and try not to worry to much, 4 weeks for me, and I will have cash and card.
Cheers
Sue
