Hi PF. Always hard to know what is a good gift to give. It depends on each families situation. 1 or 2 20kg bags of rice always goes down well. This means the family will not have to buy rice for 1 or 2 months & will have the extra money to spend on something they need.
Depending on what you want to spend....a washing machine is also a good idea. You would have to check out their house first to see if electric has to be connected to where they would want it. If you do decide on this then take them with you when you buy it because what you think is good might not suit them. The twin tubs are popular here & don't use as much electric as the automatic. Prices start at about rp 1,200,000 & go up to about rp 3,500,000 for auto.
