Hi all, I need some Balinese cultural guidance...
I'll be in Bali in June and will see a friend who I've grown to know since my first visit. He's a very hard working guy, with a couple of jobs, a wife and a teenage daughter. He's just finished building a house in a village near Ubud and I expect he'll ask us there for a meal with his family.
He's always been so helpful and hospitable, I'd like to take nice gifts for him and his family, but have no idea what to take. Would they appreciate something Australian? If so, what? I know the daughter is doing well with her studies (including English). I'd love to take something which would help her studies, but again, what?
Thanks in advance, PF.
