point a] You should have a motorbike licence and additional to that an international licence from you country to be able to hire and ride a motorbike .....but in reality you can hire a bike here without any licence if you find the right renters [most of them] but you will be charged by each Policeman you get stopped by for payment ...this is also common for those holding the correct documents.
Point b] You WILL NOT be covered for riding [driving] a motorbike no matter what you have UNLESS it is a specific clause in your policy allowing you to do so, and most policies in-fact do not have this provision. This can even apply as a passenger if driver not licenced or covered by insurance.
Please be careful if you do ride ............... and also check your insurance fully.
