Car rental companies will not want your passport.
If you have an accident and do not have a licence there will be no insurance cover.
It will cost about $15 US per day for a small car. The locals are mad drivers. To drive here you must drive in the same manner as them
When walking out of the Mercure be very careful, I drive past there a number of times every day.
