Here in Jakarta there are many "Blue Bird look-alike" Cabs plying for hire but offering a very different service. I am certain that Blue Bird Group has a uniform policy and that what the meter reads is what one needs to pay - with the exception being for a telephone booking. Blue Bird Cabs here in Jakarta display a sign indicating a Minimum Rp.25,000 for Telephone Booking. If the taxi in question was a Blue Bird, then the minimum phone booking in Bali may be Rp.15,000 and it was to this notice the driver was pointing - hoping the passenger did not read the whole notice.
