Now, I've been to Bali before but always rented a car and driver from Ubud or so. Now however we want to stay in more remote places such as Amed, Munduk, Pemuteran, etc
I'll be needing a car for 2 weeks but I'm not sure what it feels like driving yourself. Are there decent maps available? Can you recommend a reputable car rental agency where I can get good insurance? Can I get a car with GPS?
Another option of course is getting a car and driver but I don't think I can afford to pay for one for 2 weeks considering I have to pay for accommodation for him too.
We want to do this: Denpasar - Pemuteran (3 nights) - Lovina (2 nights with visits to nearby sights) - Munduk (2 nights with visits to nearby sights) - Amed (3 nights with visits to nearby sights) - Ubud (2 nights with visits to nearby sights) - Seminyak (no need for car there)
Any ideas on driving this itinerary ourselves vs car with driver? Can I get a car with driver in Pemuteran, Munduk or Amed??
