Meals can cost from $2 to $50+
a)are they big eaters - are they fussy eaters or will they eat rice & noodle dishes from the warungs or meals from the kakis?. Do they like one or 2 drinks with their meal- add $2 to $4
Tours cost around average $35 some much more
Who's paying for transport or are you splitting it - day transport with driver around $50 short/medium taxi rides $3 to $10
Will they wantgenuine brands or knockoff brands- Bags for example - genuine $150 + knockoffones $10
I took my 2 grandsons (14 & 16) 2 years ago and they didn't have to pay for meals or tours and they both managed to spend around $800 each in 2 weeks. I made them buy 6 T-shirts and 6 shorts- the rest went on DVD's and technical games. They often wandered off and had snacks( pancakes, spanish omlettes, milkshakesetc)
Once I forced them to try a massage they had 1 or 2 every day $5 to $10
I think it's what you purchase that can send the budget off track.
I know I haven't helped with an exact answer but I hope I have given you a few things to think about
