As others suggest on here, most only give out 1M at a time but Permata? Bank ATM (Spelling)is 3M. If you use the Commonwealth ATM it is only 1M at a time but will give out the balance in $AUS. All other ATM banks will give balance in Indo. I also keep a notebook with my withdrawals then translate back into $Aus myself to give me an idea of how much is left. I also subtract extra for the overseas transaction and conversion fees. (ANZ take 2 fees out each time.) I also keep the printe receipts in case the bank in Aus needs to check a problem. Remember only ATM machines with cirrus/maestro signs will work with your debit or credit card.
There is always talk about hassles with ATM machines in Indo. Luckily I have not been ripped off as yet.
