The last fitting at Rezeky Tailor for hubby's business shirts was scheduled for 10am, so after a very yummy breakfast, with everything you could possibly need, at the Novotel, hubby and I hopped into Nyoman's van and headed back to Legian.
I did have two more purchases to make while in Legian. Both mum and Auntie had decided they desperately required a big bali bag each, for their purchases... and Master 14 had requested a gift of some sport shirts for his best mates.
So through some heavy traffic we made it to Rezeky's on time, paid for the very well made business shirts, and luckily found a couple of Size 6 Bali Bags in a shop next door. Now to the sports store!
I had spotted a big sports warehouse on the way from Benoa, and we headed there.... Passing an art shop. With a gorgeous painting that caught my eye. That I kept thinking of and mentioning all the way to the sports store. To console myself, I bought the shirts Master 14 had asked for.. then a couple more for Master 14 himself, then a pair of shoes for hubby.. and decided to grab another for the 14yr old while I was there.
I blame hubby for my excess parcels, afterall, everyone knows that when you accompany me on a shopping trip it is your solemn duty to stop me from looking to the left and right. My eldest son has this down to a fine art... he herds me through a shopping centre, repeating 'you don't need it mum... you don't need it mum', while holding my arm and pulling me away from those items I gravitate towards. He is very effective, and a great shopping companion.
Hubby on the other hand fails in this regard.... However, he is a GREAT enabler! His response to any purchase query I offer is 'if you think so dear'. Now this is obviously not a no, so it must be a yes.. thus any excess purchases are his fault! See... seamless female logic!
So after hubby bought all these excess sports shirts, and TWO pairs of runners that I somehow have to get home, he told me to drive back to the art shop and buy the very big painting I had seen and adored.
I of course didn't want to disappoint him, so allowed myself to be pushed into purchasing a 2m x 1m painting at a cost of 500k, that I now have to somehow get home!!
Men! They just don't consider packing when they make these purchases!
Hehehe
After smuggling our purchases into the hotel room, hubby and I joined the rest of our party by the pool. Master 2 has set himself up with a business. He sits on the wall next to the poolside shower, and as people walk past he gestures towards the shower, lisps out in his most polite and sweetest voice 'Ekscuuse me.. do yoo wan a hower?' and offers to turn the tap on and off for them.
He sat there patiently for half an hour, offering to everyone who walked past, and was quite dejected when most refused. Bottom lip pouted, head rested in his hands, and his fingers tapped impatiently.
We finally managed to entice him back into the pool, and are doing our best to convince him that as business ideas go, working for free really isn't a great one!
For dinner we shuffled across the road to Luna Bonita restaurant, where we enjoyed very nice meals, and at only 720k for 7 people, entrees for most as well as mains and drinks, it was extremely well priced.
After dinner we once again separated and returned to our rooms... Master 2 and 14 enjoyed the provided play station 2 for a while, before the youngster was tucked into bed, and we settled in for the night.
I'm happy to report that after taking some panadol as a precautionary measure, and thumping the marshmallow bed into submission, I managed to enjoy a good nights sleep without suffering from the very soft bed.
Hubby did however laugh himself silly as I demonstrated how the mattress has no bounce at all. You flop onto it, and stick.... Like taffy. It sucks you in, wraps its fluffy self around you and just clings!
So the day ended with a giggle, and the knowledge that only 2 more fun filled days remain before we head home.
Have a great day everyone!
