What concerns me greatly is this post that arrived on TA yesterday:
We went to Bali with a group of friends who've nvr been there before and planned to stay at AP Apt 2 for four nights. We booked the airport pickup service that's available from their website (or so they say) a few weeks before the trip as we were on a late night flight.
Waited at the airport for about 30 min before calling the hotel, only to find out that they did not organise anyone to pick us up! They later even told us that they did not have a pick up service/ car for guests despite the fact that we showed them the confirmation printout!
Anyway that seemed to be just the beginning. When we checked in, we were told ON THE SPOT that they did not have any 2-b/room available for us for the 1st night (we booked 3 rooms and none were available!). We purposely booked 2 b/room Apartments after doing our research online and reading all the good reviews on it (and bad reviews on the single rooms)! We even purposely emailed to re-confirm our bookings for the 3 rooms a few weeks prior to departure, which they replied to (to confirm).
That night, the AP Apt staff said that they could also only provide us 4 single rooms and that the rest of our group (who're foreign to the country & language) will be placed in a nearby backpackers place! We were very upset about the arrangements and the service we've had so far but all they could do was apologise as there were something wrong with their Reservation System! They also promised us that from 2nd night onwards the 2 b/rooms we originally booked will be available, so we ended up hiring extra beds for our friends who were going to get kicked away to the backpackers inn!
Single room & breakfast were terrible as expected frm reading those reviews. In one of the rooms the A/C was rattling all night so some of us could not sleep. The sink table in the bathroom was so small so we had to put our toothbrush & toiletries on the kitchen table.
On the 2nd day we packed all our stuff ready to be moved to the right rooms. After coming back from a morning stroll to check in to the new rooms, we were told AGAIN that there were still no 2 b/rooms available! This is despite the fact that they apologised the night before & assured us that we'd get moved the nxt day! Feeling very upset and fed up with the mess, we immediately packed our luggage and moved to a different hotel, which was located in a MUCH better location and was much more proper in terms of the quality of the rooms and esp service & management.
The most ridiculous part was when the AP staff ran out to chase us when we left the place, upset, only to collect a $2 phone bill which they forgot to charge us! We used their phone obviously to find other hotels to stay due to the poor service at AP!
To be quite honest the staffs are very friendly, however, Management is very poor, and there is certainly NO PROFESSIONALISM in the services provided by the hotel, which beats the purpose of them being in the hospitality industry!
