Walk up Kartika Plaza (towards Kuta) and there's a money changer after you go past Gang Samudra (the one that runs down to Ma Joly and Pantai Restaurants) It's just before you get to the Ramada Bintang (same side of the road) that is safe to use and usually matches the Kodak shop rate...very close to the Vira
