Hello everyone,
Day Three started with... actually nothing, we all had a lovely sleep in until 8am. For us, with a 2yr old thats almost noon!
Fresh fruit and cereals for breakfast, and then 9:30 we scrambled out of the door and drove to Tommy's.
Two gorgeous handbags ready-made, another being prepared and ready for pick up on Thursday. Two wallet/purses, and we were happy. Such beautiful leather! So soft and the colours are divine. Handbags 750k-800k, purses 350k and worth every penny of it.
Next stop Kuta Square. Optik Melasti (opp Matahari) first. Not only can my travelling companions not walk or stand, or hear, but they can't see either!!! No wonder I was feeling run down and exhausted yesterday!
Luckily new glasses for all have now been ordered, and we will pick up 5 pairs on Monday. From then on we can go sightseeing! (Seeing anything will be a treat! :P)
I grabbed a pair of running shoes from Athletes Foot next door, and then joined the group in Bagus Watches. The glitz, the glamour, the bling! I bought bling upon bling and then more bling. Gifts of bling will abound! Great prices, and so much to choose from.
After an hour, which felt like 5 minutes, we had a quick bite to eat and then headed into Matahari.
We lost Uncle at the door. I don't think he ever actually made it inside, but that didn't matter. I was in the home of the pool noodle! Surely... Finally.. my search would be over??
However, before we headed for pool noodle heaven, we got waylaid everywhere else.
Shoes, mens clothing, knick knacks, gifts, kids clothes, hair accessories, perfume, oh my goodness.... and I only had ONE hour to do it all in!!!
Ladened with bags, we finally made it to the top floor, where kids clothing, toys and most importantly POOL ACCESSORIES are displayed.
No pool noodles!
Not one.
Anywhere!!!!
My world collapsed around me.... of course, that could have also been because our hour of shopping was over.... nah! No pool noodle is NOT an okay outcome.
So... we pile back into the van, collecting Uncle at the front entrance to Matahari where he seems to have spent the entire hour, and as an act of compassion, we divert to Bali Bakery in an attempt to bring me out of my pool noodleless funk.
Oh my.
Oh my oh my oh my!
There was pastry, and cake, and chocolate and cookies, and sooo much yumminess. I think we bought one of everything... in fact, we got multiples of some it looked so good.
So back to the villa, and we're staying in for the night. In fact, we're so exhausted after the last three days of shopping madness that we're not stepping outside the bounds of the Villa grounds until tomorrow night. Rest and Relaxation, yay!
To be honest, after all the cake and pastry that is to be consumed tonight, I seriously doubt we will be able to fit back into the van tomorrow. :)
So... shopping mania is over. Finally we can take a deep breath and start to enjoy being in gorgeous Bali!! Well as much as you can when you don't have a pool noodle to float with. :)
Thanks for listening to all my boring shopping drivel. Hopefully will have something more interesting to report over the next day or two.
