Had our holidays all planned a few days in Bussleton, or so my hubby thought. Morning of the 28 march sitting having our first cuppa of the morning at 6.30 , hubby said ''are we going to make a move'' and get a few things packed for our road trip,wanted to leave asap.Had planned all sorts of ways in my mind to spring the surprise on him , but in the end just blurted it out We are off to Bali, my hubby knowing me extremley well as being a bit of a joker , was not having a bar, yeh right wheres the tickets then?
We are off, Virgin flight from Perth at 7.40pm, Hubby still in shock that we are going.Good flight, arrived to pouring rain and our suitcases soaked, oh well it will all dry out in next to no time.To the Green garden spa we go for 5 days of US time.
we did'nt do alot as this was our 10 trip, more just having massages , eating well, and relaxing.
We did go to the Biku tea house, very nice , but found it extremely hot in there, went to the butterfly farm and Ubud for a day trip and look round, and a place recommended to us to eat duck, well the joke was on me here, ordered the crispy skin duck that was their special dish, it arrives, i look, and look again, expecting a beautiful duck breast with a crispy skin, it was crispy skin duck with bones and nothing else, where"s the beautiful pink duck breast meat, none, oh well , its Bali, and i got just what i ordered, Crispy SKIN duck.
The Green garden spa was very nice , peaceful place to stay, have eaten here many times in passed trips and stayed at the green garden hotel down the road a few time to , rooms were large and clean and had requested a ground floor room, no probs, staff all very nice.
No shopping, bought a few Dvds , had a look at The Bali Garden hotel because ive booked my 25 yr neice and friend in here for her first overseas holiday, think she will enjoy the hotel, had a nice meal on the Boardwalk here, they even bought out mossie spray and hand cleaner , nice touch i thought.
Well , relaxed and pampered we return home on the A.A flight at 3.40 pm on the 2 April, arriving in Perth at 7.30 , great arrival time ,We return to Bali with a long planned trip with friends in Sept staying in Sanur, roll on Sept.
P.S we loved our holiday, but i felt sad that i could not share the pre excitement with my husband, because it really is part of the build up to our holidays and i had a few sleepless nights thinking about it, and all the hints i dropped to our impending trip went way over his head. Julie
