Weather today... its raining, overcast, warm and humid. But still gorgeous!!
Arriving at the airport at 11:45pm, and being nearly the last to disembark I was a little concerned that we would get stuck in queues. However, even walking at a snails pace, we managed to navigate through VOA, Immigration and Customs (even with WAY too much luggage!!) and out to our driver within 20 minutes.
Villa Baliana exceeds all of our expectations. The rooms are much larger and more sumptuously furnished than we anticipated. Beds are comfortable, all three bedrooms have great aircon, and the living areas have ceiling and stand alone fans which more than do the trick. The upstairs living area is also great, especially if you want to have a look around the area from a higher perspective.
But the wonder of this Villa... the garden area. Absolutely stunning! A huge bale with lounge and dining table (built in bbq next to it), plenty of grassed area in front of the bale, and a really big figure 8 tiled pool with sectioned off kids area. Photo's really don't do this place justice.
Will give a further review after we've been here for a few days. Oh and if you are lucky, I might recount the bidet incident :P
