but I couldnt help myself, your post was very humorous lol :-)
We nearly went tandem ourselves but at the last minute decided a bike of our own would be the better option, and it certainly was, the chinese made 250cc 4x2 ATV's were a blast but I dont believe they are suitable for carrying two people in any kind of swift fashion when you have muddy slopes etc. One of the slopes there is so steep and muddy they actually hook cables to the back of your bike and basically winch you down so I don't blame you for wanting to take the tandem option.
Also a few of the bikes had bald rear tyres which dont help when getting out of uphill bogs, I was the only one out of our party of six that did not get bogged or come off the track but I dare say I treated every part of the track as though it were Bathurst and perhaps had a little more experience. OK im just a HOON!
One of the staff there was so kind as to take my camera and take photographs of us both for the duration of the entire ride, he took a great picture of my gf with her mouth wide open and a look of sheer terror just before she went off the track and into an embankment , later on she would veer offtrack again and clothesline herself via a lowhanging branch, she was not hurt and stayed on the bike but the branch did hit her square on the helmet, she wonders why I call her Frank Spencer! , another woman there tipped her bike and ended up with more than just a muddy backside, luckily she was ok too.
I don't recall seeing any children but I did encounter a snake up close and personal while traversing a creek that was ankledeep, the guide told me it wasn't dangerous and it really added to the jungle feel.
Glad you escaped in one piece :-)
